James Earl specialises in working with couples and individuals on communication issues, loss of desire in long-term relationships, and surviving affairs.

He has a Post-graduate Diploma in Relationship Therapy from Relate, and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Sussex.

James has been in private practice for ten years. Until recently he also taught philosophy at Richmond, The American International University in London.  

James writes, publishes and lectures on relationships and desire. You can read his paper 'The Romantic Myth of Making Love' which he delivered  at the UKCP annual conference.

James is married with children, and a jazz pianist.
